Privacy Awareness Week
Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is an initiative started by APPA back in 2006. Since then, it has been held every year to promote and raise awareness for numerous privacy issues and the importance of protecting personal information. As a part of PAW, members hold a variety of different events and undertake various activities for individuals, businesses and government organisations.
This year, PAW will occur at different times in different jurisdiction. Most members will continuing to celebrate PAW in May.

Posters: For Privacy Awareness Week 2026, the APPA Communications Working Group prepared a set of promotional posters in regard to the theme: “Smart Tech, Smarter Choices: Protecting Your Privacy in the Age of AI”, aiming to enhance the importance of personal data protection and promote the awareness of privacy issues. Web Game
Game of the Personal Data and Privacy Guardian has been launched, including Chinese, English, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese versions. The game is for all age groups aiming to promote privacy and personal data protection knowledge and raise awareness of safeguarding privacy and personal data. You can access the game here.
