Communiqué from the 45th APPA Forum in Singapore
The 45th Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum was hosted by the Personal Data Protection Commission, Singapore on 21–22 July 2016. Attended by APPA members, invited observers and guests, the two-day event generated discussions on personal data protection and privacy trends and developments.

Next meeting — 46th APPA Forum
The 46th APPA Forum will be hosted by the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection, Mexico from 30 November to 2 December 2016 in Manzanillo, Colima. For more information about the upcoming forum, contact the APPA Secretariat.
Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities welcome new member Japan
Victoria, BC, Canada — The Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) are pleased to welcome Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC) as a new member.
The Personal Information Protection Commission, Japan is the 19th privacy and data protection authority to join APPA. It will participate as a full member for the first time at the 45th APPA Forum in Singapore on 21-22 July 2016.
